The number of projects registered with the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) has exceeded 20,000, with a declared value of more than 9,000 billion DZD, Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb announced Monday in Algiers.
Presiding over the opening of an information day on the new legal provisions governing the "Single Window for Investment," the Prime Minister explained: "The entry into force of the new investment system has enabled the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency to register over 20,000 investment projects, with a total declared value exceeding 9,000 billion DZD, and an expected creation of over 525,000 jobs."
It is worth noting that the AAPI officially began its activities in November 2022.
Sifi Ghrieb emphasized that these figures "are not just statistical indicators, but clear evidence of the restoration of confidence." He noted that the restructuring of the agency and the revision of key sectoral texts were initiated to "achieve a comprehensive simplification of the entire investment system and put an end to slow procedures, scattered responsibilities, and administrative complexities that hinder project implementation, following the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune."
The Prime Minister added that the information day "represents an important milestone in strengthening our investment system, in accordance with the reformist vision set by the President of the Republic, implementing his firm will to build a strong, diversified, and resilient economy, capable of moving confidently toward the future."
