The President of the Republic Receives the Congolese Minister of Foreign Affairs

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received on Sunday the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Congolese Abroad, Mr. Constant-Serge Bounda, and his accompanying delegation.

In a press statement following this audience, Mr. Bounda indicated that he was "the bearer of an important letter from the President of the Republic of the Congo, Mr. Denis Sassou N'Guesso, to his brother, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, concerning issues of mutual interest between the two countries."

The diplomacy of both countries is characterized by a pan-African vocation, he said, highlighting the constant commitment of the leaders of the two countries to issues concerning the African continent.

This meeting also allowed for an exchange of views on bilateral cooperation, added the Congolese minister, who described the relations between the two countries as "very fraternal and solid."

He stated, in the same vein, that the two countries are celebrating on the 26th of this month the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of this cooperation. This provided an opportunity to discuss "major issues, particularly concerning economic diplomacy, given the ambition of the leaders of both countries to further strengthen diplomatic relations."

The audience took place in the presence of Mr. Brahim Merad, Minister of State in charge of the General Inspectorate of State Services and Local Authorities; Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs; and Mr. Amar Abba, Advisor to the President of the Republic in charge of Diplomatic Affairs.
