Algeria Wins Bronze Award at the Hajj Affairs Offices Honoring Ceremony

Algeria won the Bronze Award yesterday, Friday, at the Hajj Affairs Offices honoring ceremony, in a step that reflects the early start of preparations for the upcoming Hajj season.

The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmehdi, received the "preliminary arrangements" document for the 1448 AH/2027 Hajj season in his capacity as the head of the Algeria Hajj affairs office.

​The handover ceremony took place in the presence of the representative of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

​This occurred on the sidelines of the "Khitamuha Misk" (A Fitting Finale) ceremony, which was held to mark the conclusion of the 1447 AH/2026 AD Hajj season.

The event witnessed praise for the level of organization and coordination among the various delegations, and the ceremony also honored the agencies and service companies that excelled during the season.

​A number of development projects aimed at improving the pilgrim experience were reviewed, including the launch of the "Mashaer Package" as a new mechanism to serve the guests of Allah.

​What was presented was developed into three categories: A, C, and D, providing diverse options that meet the needs of the pilgrims.

An qualification program was announced for the benefit of Hajj affairs offices, aiming to raise the efficiency of the provided services and improve performance quality.

​This is in addition to developing the healthcare system by providing an average of 1.5 doctors for every one thousand pilgrims.

​Reference was also made to allocating 1.7 paramedic staff members for every one thousand pilgrims.

​The organizers emphasized that work on the next Hajj season begins now, within the framework of a proactive vision to ensure a more organized and high-quality season.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, service companies and Hajj affairs offices were honored.

​Within this context, Algeria was awarded the Bronze Award in recognition of its efforts in serving pilgrims and improving the level of performance and organization.

​The document carries a set of procedures and organizational arrangements for the early preparation of the upcoming season.

​This aims to elevate the quality of services provided to Algerian pilgrims, and to ensure the performance of the rites under the best organizational and logistical conditions.
