Opening of the International Exhibition for Water Equipment, Technologies, and Services in Algiers

The Minister of Hydraulics, Lounès Bouzegza, presided today, Monday, over the opening of the 21st edition of the International Exhibition for Water Equipment, Technologies, and Services "SIEE-Pollutec," hosted at the Palais des Expositions (Pins Maritimes) in Algiers, with the participation of 170 exhibitors representing 16 countries.

This economic event was opened in the presence of a number of officials representing various sectors related to water services and technologies, including energy and environment, alongside institutions and economic operators.

According to the organizers, this four-day exhibition is expected to attract around 10,000 professional visitors, featuring a strong presence of Algerian companies, which represent 70% of the total exhibitors, alongside participants from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Sixteen countries are participating in the exhibition, including Germany, Saudi Arabia, China, Egypt, Spain, France, India, Italy, and Tunisia.

On the sidelines of this event, a program has been outlined featuring seminars that address key issues, particularly sea water desalination, the circular economy applied to industry, the reuse of treated wastewater in agriculture, green financing, as well as coastal protection and combating marine water pollution.
