An exhibition by the plastic artist and calligrapher Mahmoud Taleb continues in the province of Oran, presenting a summary of his creative experience through a distinguished collection of paintings and artworks titled "November, Glorious is Your Majesty Among Us".

The exhibition includes 28 paintings and four sculptures carrying mystical, Sufi visions inspired by Algerian poetic heritage, particularly the poems of Emir Abdelkader and the scholar-jurist Abderrahmane al-Thaalibi.

These works combine plastic art, Arabic calligraphy, and sculpture, blending the abstract and Hurufiyya (calligraphic) schools in a creative style that reflects the artist's professionalism in carving wood to highlight the beauty and details of the letters, as highlighted by several plastic art enthusiasts.

In creating his artwork, Mahmoud Taleb relied on a special technical approach using resin alongside oil colors inspired by Algerian nature, with a notable presence of a coppery (bronze) tone that adds a touch of warmth and natural brilliance to the pieces, it was noted.

The artist, who has practiced plastic arts for over forty years, previously worked as an art education teacher and has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions. Some of his works are displayed in museums inside and outside Algeria, including the Baghdad Museum in Iraq and the Vienna Museum in Austria, as well as art spaces in South Africa.

Mahmoud Taleb is currently working on a new collection of paintings and models under the theme "Let Us Rise with the Morals of the Chosen One", which is expected to be exhibited on the occasion of the Mawlid al-Nabawi (the Prophet's birthday) celebrations, according to his statement on the sidelines of this exhibition, which the Regional Office of Culture and Information is contributing to organizing.
