The Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, received on Sunday the CEO of "Fiat Algeria," Raoui Beji. During the meeting, the two officials examined ways to integrate locally manufactured spare parts into the Italian brand’s international distribution network, according to a statement from the ministry.
The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters, took place as part of the "monitoring of the status and development prospects of the automotive industry in Algeria, as well as the strengthening of the contribution of national companies in this strategic sector," the statement specified.
Discussions focused on the prospects for supporting Algerian spare parts producers who have obtained certification and compliance for their products from the "Stellantis" group. This support primarily involves integrating their locally made products into FIAT's international distribution network for after-sales services.
The ultimate goal is to increase exports for Algerian producers and provide them with access to broader global markets, the statement concluded.
