The Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons, Mr. Mohamed Arkab, visited the Moscow Cathedral Mosque this Friday, at the invitation of the Chairman of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russia Muftis Council, the Imam and Khatib of the mosque, His Eminence Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, according to a statement issued by the Ministry.
This visit took place on the sidelines of the opening of the proceedings of the 13th session of the Joint Algerian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Commercial, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation, reflecting the strength of friendship and the depth of the strategic partnership between the two fraternal countries, the statement added.
The visit was attended by the Ambassador of Algeria to the Russian Federation, Mr. Toufik Djouama, alongside several members of the Joint Algerian-Russian Commission, and the Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council, Mr. Ahmed Azimov.
In his speech on this occasion, His Eminence Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin praised the level of Algerian-Russian cooperation relations, expressing his satisfaction with the fruitful results yielded by the proceedings of the 13th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission.
