Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb chaired a Government meeting this Wednesday, July 1, 2026, dedicated to a number of items, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Services.

The statement from the Prime Minister's Services reported that "the Government examined the project to create the Great National Museum of Natural History in Algeria, which aims to preserve and promote the national natural heritage, protect biodiversity, support scientific research, and strengthen Algeria's position as a scientific, cultural, and tourist destination."

According to the statement, this edifice is expected to bring about "a qualitative leap in the management of the national natural legacy, by providing modern infrastructure dedicated to collecting, preserving, and documenting national natural history collections, and ensuring the transmission of this heritage to future generations, within the framework of materializing our country's commitments in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development."

The Government also listened, the statement added, "to a presentation on the promotion of entrepreneurship within the vocational training sector. This endeavor translates the directives of the President of the Republic aimed at instilling a culture of initiative and strengthening entrepreneurial thinking among trainees, making the vocational training system a strategic lever to prepare a new generation of project promoters capable of actively contributing to economic development."

This orientation aims, the statement concluded, "to establish an entrepreneurial culture from the beginning of the training path, by enabling trainees to acquire the technical and managerial skills necessary to create sustainable economic enterprises capable of creating added value, rather than being limited to integration into the traditional labor market."
