Today, Thursday, the Rector of Djamaâ El-Djazaïr, Sheikh Mohamed El Mamoun El Kacimi El Hassani, fulfilled his electoral duty at the Youssef Ibn Tachfine school in Hydra, Algiers.
In a statement made after casting his vote, the Rector of Djamaa el-Djazair highlighted the importance of "conscious participation" in the elections, emphasizing that it is "one of the forms of fulfilling trust and contributing to consolidating state institutions and strengthening the foundations upon which the interests of the people and the country are built."
He added that elections are considered among the "civilized practices that express the citizen's awareness of their responsibility, and their belief that building the nation is a shared responsibility undertaken by all its citizens."
Of note, more than 24 million Algerians began voting this morning in the ballot to elect members of the People's National Assembly for a new parliamentary term, which is taking place under the slogan: "Be an active partner in decision-making . . . vote and participate."
