President of the Republic Oversees the Launch and Inauguration of Several Strategic Projects in Algiers

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, oversaw this Sunday in Algiers the launch and inauguration of strategic projects that reflect the state's firm determination to address citizen concerns and improve their living standards, coinciding with the celebrations commemorating the 64th anniversary of Independence Day and the restoration of national sovereignty.

At the outset, the President of the Republic inaugurated the Algerian National Digital Services Center in Mohammadia, which represents the first sovereign digital infrastructure of its kind in Algeria. This achievement is a strategic milestone reflecting the state's commitment to strengthening its digital sovereignty.

This project forms a fundamental pillar for hosting data within national territory, ensuring the continuity of digital services, and enabling inter-sectoral exchange, thereby consolidating digital transformation and enhancing public service efficiency for the benefit of citizens.

In the municipality of Dely Ibrahim, the President of the Republic presided over the official inauguration of the new headquarters of the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City, which falls within the framework of modernizing public facilities and providing contemporary workspaces that meet the latest standards.

Subsequently, in Mahelma, the President of the Republic oversaw the inauguration of the Omar Boudjellab specialized hospital for pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery. This institution represents a new asset for the national healthcare system, enhancing the care provided to children and newborns with heart diseases by offering specialized healthcare utilizing the latest medical equipment and specialized Algerian expertise. It also relies on an integrated digital system, making it the first 100% digital hospital in Algeria.

In the new city of Sidi Abdellah, the President of the Republic gave the official signal for the launch of the 2026 housing distribution operation across the entire national territory.

The operation includes 179,168 housing units of various formulas nationwide, including 42,520 public rental housing units, 11,914 rent-to-own units (AADL), 9,975 subsidized promotional housing units, 7,353 free promotional housing units, 76,423 rural housing grants, and 30,983 benefit decisions for social land subdivision grants.

Furthermore, in the municipality of Rahmania, he inaugurated the Late Mujahid Ahmed Taleb Ibrahimi urban pole, which spans an area of 119.5 hectares and comprises 10,507 rent-to-own housing units (AADL). This pole stands as an embodiment of the new vision in the housing sector, which focuses on developing modern and integrated cities.

In a speech delivered on this occasion, the President of the Republic commended the achievements made by the housing sector, which has become the "pride of Algeria," praising the level reached in this field thanks to "the efforts of men who remain faithful to the covenant of our righteous martyrs."

He also reflected on the achievements taking place across various sectors in Algeria, describing them as "heartwarming."

Furthermore, the President of the Republic considered that "the strength of our country lies in the fact that most state expenditures are directed toward achieving social balance in the fields of health, housing, education, and instruction—all of which are files moving forward together so that we may reach the desired goal."

As confirmed by the President of the Republic, this approach has allowed Algeria to become "among the economically and socially advanced and sophisticated nations," as evidenced by the rankings of relevant international organizations, which have placed it in the ranks of developed countries.

At another stop in the same municipality, the President of the Republic oversaw the laying of the foundation stone for the construction project of the Algerian Institute for Stem Cell and Gene Therapy, which will feature dedicated spaces for treatment, research, and training in the fields of regenerative medicine and biotechnology.

Following this, in the municipality of Ouled Fayet, the President of the Republic oversaw the laying of the foundation stone for the construction project of the Grand Performance Hall, which boasts a capacity of 10,000 seats and spans an area of 60,000 square meters. This facility aims to support the cultural industry in Algeria.
