Constitutional Court member Ms. Ouardia Nait Kaci is participating in a high-level study visit for the presidents and members of constitutional courts and councils of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, organized in the Federal Republic of Germany, a Constitutional Court statement indicated on Monday.

This study visit, which will continue until next Saturday, is part of strengthening cooperation between constitutional courts and councils, as well as the exchange of comparative expertise and experiences in the field of constitutional justice, the same source specified.

"It aims to promote institutional dialogue and constitutional justice practices, and to enshrine the principles of the supremacy of the Constitution, the rule of law, and the protection of rights and freedoms," according to the statement.

The program includes several "high-level stages designed to deepen dialogue and foster exchanges with key actors in constitutional justice."

It notably includes "visits to the German Federal Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg (France), as well as several meetings with officials of the German federal government, members of the German Parliament (Bundestag), judges of the Federal Constitutional Court, and representatives of the Constitutional Court of Berlin."

The program also includes meetings with elite academics, legal experts, and representatives of magistrates' and lawyers' associations, in order to "strengthen cooperation, foster the exchange of experiences, and consolidate the frameworks of institutional partnership," the statement concluded.
