In its July editorial, El Djeich magazine emphasized that the ongoing consolidation of the victorious "New Algeria" is deeply rooted in the values of sacrifice, resilience, unity, and cohesion demonstrated by the Algerian people during the glorious National Liberation Revolution.

Titled "Sincere National Wills Faithful to the Covenant of the Righteous Martyrs," the editorial highlighted the profound sense of pride marking the 64th anniversary of Independence and the recovery of national sovereignty on July 5, 1962. It described this historic date as the day the Algerian people's will triumphed over one of the most brutal colonial powers of the time.

The publication recalled that this unyielding will forced the colonial oppressor to "submit and recognize our right to freedom and dignity, following a sweeping revolution that will forever remain etched in the conscience of Algerians." The editorial described the revolution as the greatest liberation epic of the 20th century, which shattered the arrogance of the colonizer. It proved that justice prevails, even after 132 years of tyranny, though at a "very heavy price paid by millions of righteous martyrs, orphans, and widows."

"As we celebrate this immortal anniversary, duty calls us not only to remember the ultimate sacrifices of our noble ancestors to reclaim our stolen freedom, but also to follow in their footsteps and remain faithful to their legacy," the editorial continued. It stressed that true loyalty lies in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty. This mission is actively pursued by the country's highest authorities, led by the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defense, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The President's continuous efforts aim to preserve national security and stability, strengthen independent decision-making, and consolidate the state's comprehensive power across political, economic, social, and security dimensions.

El Djeich asserted that Algeria's current achievements and its prestigious regional and international standing are the embodiment of this noble endeavor. This progress is driven by a visionary strategy focused on wisely investing national resources, building a strong and wealth-generating economy, developing infrastructure, and ensuring water, food, energy, and digital security.

The magazine noted that while six decades is a short period in the life of nations, "the milestones Algeria has reached in recent years during its ambitious renaissance firmly confirm the Algerians' ability to perform miracles and overcome all challenges."

In this context, the editorial referenced President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s message on Independence Day, where he stated: "We are immensely proud that the spirit of the New Algeria, built by sincere national wills, emanates from loyalty to the covenant of the righteous martyrs. We are confident that the people, embracing the victorious Algeria with its sovereign orientations and unprecedented achievements, are determined to continue the change, enhance comprehensive sustainable development, and realize the strategic goal of placing the country on the threshold of emerging economies."

The publication reaffirmed that strengthening national independence and immunity requires the mobilization of all Algerians and the country's vital forces. "Defending the homeland is an individual duty for every citizen that cannot be abandoned under any justification," the editorial highlighted, noting that contributing to the nation's comprehensive renaissance is a "sacred duty."

Fully aware that security and stability are the solid bedrock for development, the People's National Army (ANP), a worthy heir to the National Liberation Army (ALN), continues its relentless efforts to cement Algeria's sovereignty and safeguard its territorial and popular unity.

The magazine recalled the recent remarks made by General of the Army Saïd Chengriha, Chief of Staff of the ANP and Deputy Minister of National Defense, during the annual rank promotion and medal award ceremony.

General of the Army Saïd Chengriha affirmed: "This glorious history will remain a permanent source of inspiration for our formidable army as it continues to perform its constitutional duties under the supreme leadership of the President of the Republic... in full respect of its republican convictions, the principles of the victorious November 1st Revolution, and the values of its righteous martyrs." He added, "Our army will never forget, while performing its noble duties, that it is born from the core of a revolutionary people who tamed the impossible, and that it is the branch that always takes pride in its roots."

The editorial concluded by paying a solemn tribute to the souls of the righteous martyrs of the popular resistances, the blessed Liberation Revolution, and the martyrs of national duty. It also extended deep respect to the heroic Mujahideen and to all members of the People's National Army and various security forces who tirelessly watch over Algeria's security and stability.
