The list of members for the membership validation committee of the People's National Assembly (APN) for the tenth legislative term was approved today, Tuesday.
The approval of the committee list took place following the roll call of the deputies elected in the legislative elections of last July 2, in accordance with the Constitutional Court's announcement. The 30-member committee is tasked with preparing the membership validation report and presenting it for approval during the evening session, which will also witness the election of a new Speaker of the People's National Assembly.
As a reminder, the opening session of the tenth legislative term was chaired by the eldest deputy, Abdelkader Bellahssen, assisted by Abdeldjalil Faghouli and Belghith Abdellah Nadhir as the two youngest members in the new assembly.
In his address on the occasion of opening the session, Deputy Bellahssen stated that the People's National Assembly "is called upon, now more than ever, to continue consolidating the traditions of rigorous parliamentary work, enhancing democratic practice, and upholding a culture of dialogue and mutual respect."
