About fifty writers and a dozen publishing houses representing different provinces of the country are participating in the Amazigh book exhibition, organized at the Mustapha-Nettour Main Public Reading Library in Constantine, as part of the celebration of the Amazigh New Year (Yennayer 2976).
No fewer than 50 writers and 10 publishing houses representing various wilayas are taking part in this cultural and literary exhibition, the director of the cultural establishment, Radia Loucif, told APS on Sunday. She highlighted the importance of this event in shedding light on literary works covering a variety of subjects.
Running alongside this cultural gathering, which continues until January 14, is an exhibition on Amazigh arts and traditional objects. This was inaugurated at the same library on the initiative of the "Nour" association for the promotion of youth activities.
Poetry readings as well as artistic and informational workshops aimed at young audiences are also included in the program outlined by the cultural facility. These cover various fields such as drawing, storytelling, and Amazigh culture and language, the same source indicated.
Furthermore, conferences and meetings on Amazigh heritage, led by teachers and history researchers, are planned at the Ahmed Bey Palace National Public Museum of Traditional Arts and Cultural Expressions, stated the Director of Culture and Arts, Farid Zaiter.
For its part, the Mohamed Tahar Fergani Regional Theater is organizing a visual arts exhibition that will continue until February 3, with the participation of eight artists, he added.
