The National U-17 Women's Football Team will face its Cameroonian counterpart in the first round of the African zone qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, according to the competition's draw results.
The first leg will take place in Algiers between April 10 and 12, while the second leg will be played in Cameroon from April 17 to 19.
Should the National Team qualify for the second round, they will meet the winner of the double-header between Tunisia and Senegal. The first leg of that round is scheduled for May 22, 23, or 24, 2026, with the return leg taking place between the 29th, 30th, and 31st of the same month.
A total of 31 African teams are participating in these qualifiers, which are conducted in three stages using a direct knockout system (home and away). At the conclusion of the third round, four teams will qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup global finals.
