The Algerian women's national football team is conducting a preparatory training camp from January 25 to 29 in Blida, in anticipation of its participation in the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2026), according to the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) on its official website.
According to a statement from the federal body, national coach Farid Benstiti has called up 27 players (23 outfield players and 4 goalkeepers) to give them the opportunity to demonstrate their technical and physical abilities and to instill a spirit of competition within the "Greens" squad, in preparation for upcoming fixtures.
The training program, spanning five days, includes two practice matches. The first will be against ASE Alger Centre on Monday (16:00) at the "Mustapha Tchaker" stadium in Blida, while the second match will take place against CR Belouizdad on Wednesday (16:00) at the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa (Algiers).
This will be Algeria's seventh participation in the history of the Africa Cup of Nations finals and the second in a row following the 2024 edition, where the players under national coach Farid Benstiti achieved a historic milestone by reaching the quarter-finals, before being eliminated by Ghana (0-0, 2-4 on penalties).
