The national Junior Boys boxing team, comprising seven pugilists, departed for Amman on Thursday evening in preparation for their participation in the 2026 edition of the Jordan King's Cup, the Algerian Boxing Federation (FAB) announced on Friday.
The young Algerian representatives will be coached in Jordan by Ibrahim Bourenane and Abdelhalim Ouradi, while FAB Vice-President Omar Krouti will serve as head of the delegation.
The Jordan King's Cup will serve as preparation for the young Algerian internationals ahead of other international competitions on the 2026 schedule, most notably the Junior World Championships in Thailand and the Youth Olympic Games (YOG-2026) scheduled to take place in Senegal.
