Bendouda: "We Are Committed to Strengthening Algeria's Cultural Position Globally"

 Minister of Culture and Arts, Malika Bendouda, highlighted on Saturday in Algiers the commitment to strengthening Algeria's cultural standing on the global stage.

This statement came during a seminar attended by officials, experts, cultural and economic actors, and entrepreneurs, as well as athletes and content creators residing both in Algeria and abroad.

Accompanied by Minister of Communication Zouhir Bouamama, Bendouda presided over the national seminar titled "Algerian Soft Power: Towards Establishing a National Influence Strategy."

Bendouda stated that the seminar falls within "efforts and endeavors to enhance Algeria's cultural stature in the world."

She drew attention to "valorizing Algeria's national symbols and cementing the role of soft power as a strategic tool for cultural diplomacy and support for the development path."

The Minister noted that the meeting also aims to "coordinate efforts and initiatives to establish a national strategy."

This involves the participation of "several ministerial sectors, economic actors, artists, and athletes, given that promoting Algeria's image is everyone's mission."

Bendouda pointed out that "the meeting coincides with the anniversary of the second allegiance to Emir Abdelkader, who represents the Algerian model we are proud of."

She stated: "We want to showcase him to the world as an intellectual, politician, diplomat, and military genius, who enriched the global scene with his noble stances stemming from Algerian values."

The seminar witnessed discussions on ways to activate the resources of this soft power and its role in bolstering Algeria's cultural, media, and economic influence.

The event was marked by panel discussions led by experts and participating stakeholders, addressing various topics related to Algerian soft power.
