Civil Protection units have extinguished 107 fires out of a total of 138 recorded across several wilayas over the past 24 hours, according to a report released on Thursday by the General Directorate of Civil Protection.
Regarding the status of fires in forests, maquis, brushwood, agricultural crops, and palm groves recorded over the past 24 hours up to 7:00 AM, the report notes "a total of 138 fires, 107 of which have been extinguished," according to the same source.
Efforts to extinguish the remaining 31 fires are ongoing across the wilayas of Bejaia (3), Bouira (1), Tlemcen (1), Tizi Ouzou (2), Jijel (2), Saida (1), Skikda (1), Annaba (3), Médéa (3), Mascara (2), El Tarf (5), Souk Ahras (2), Tipaza (1), Constantine (2), and Mila (2).
