Cyclists from "Madar Pro Team" won the 2026 edition of the National Tour of Ziban in the senior men's category by securing the top places in all three stages of the competition, which was organized over three days in El Kantara (60 km north of Biskra).
First place in the third and final stage, contested on Saturday over a distance of 113 km, went to Nadjib Assel, followed by Oussama Mimouni in second place and Hamza Mansouri in third.
In the junior category, cyclist Abdallah Allal from MC Alger claimed first place, closely followed by Amine Ziani from the Rouiba club (Algiers) and, in third position, by Ahmed-Elyas Kakeche from Union El Kantara.
This final race, which started in the municipality of Biskra, was contested along a circuit passing through El Hadjeb, Bouchagroune, Lichana, Tolga, Loutaya, the heights of Ain Zaatout, and finally El Kantara, despite strong wind gusts that affected the cyclists' performances, Merouane Berinis, President of the Cycling League of the Wilaya, told APS.
The "Madar Pro Team" cyclists thus retained the yellow jersey, and Hamza Mansouri was crowned champion of this tour in the senior men's category, while Abdallah Allal won the title among the juniors.
The competition, which featured 75 cyclists from 14 clubs, concluded in El Kantara with an awards ceremony for the winners.
The National Tour of Ziban was organized jointly by the Directorate of Youth and Sports (DJS) of the Wilaya of Biskra, the Algerian Cycling Federation, and the Wilaya League of the discipline.
