Algerian Radio
Digitizing memory and a new English-language version of its website: two hallmarks of a new era repositioning Algerian Radio in both national and international spheres. These two achievements were celebrated by Algerian Radio this Thursday on the occasion of World Radio Day.
The celebration was attended by the representative of the Advisor in charge of the Directorate General of Communication at the Presidency of the Republic, the Director of the National Archives, the Director of the Center for Scientific and Technical Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology, along with representatives from various official bodies.
In his speech on this occasion, the Director General of Algerian Radio, Mr. Adel Salakdji, emphasized that the digitization of the radio's archives constitutes a pivotal milestone in the institution's history, as it represents a living asset that serves the present and builds the foundation for the future.
Regarding the launch of the English version of the Radio website, the Director General emphasized that this step opens a new window for communication with the world and introduces international audiences to Algerian culture and news in multiple languages.
