President of the Republic of Niger to Pay Fraternity and Working Visit to Algeria on Sunday

The President of the Republic of Niger and Head of State, Army General Abdourahamane Tiani, will pay a fraternity and working visit to Algeria starting Sunday, leading a large delegation, at the invitation of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a statement issued Saturday by the Presidency of the Republic.

"At the invitation of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Army General Abdourahamane Tiani, President of the Republic of Niger and Head of State, will pay a fraternity and working visit to Algeria on February 15 and 16, leading a large delegation," the statement reads.

This visit aims to "strengthen ties of fraternity, cooperation, and good neighborliness between the two brotherly countries, within the framework of a new dynamic aimed at making the most of their capacities and potential, for the benefit of the Algerian and Nigerien peoples."

The visit will also be an "opportunity to examine political issues related to the African continent in general, and the Sahel-Saharan neighborhood in particular," the same source adds.
