A delegation of experts from the Sonelgaz Group, headed by the General Manager of the Engineering Subsidiary, is conducting a working visit to the Republic of Mozambique. The visit aims to transfer Algerian expertise in the electricity sector, in line with the directives of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to strengthen Algeria's presence in regional energy markets and support South-South partnership, according to a statement issued on Wednesday, by the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energies.
The delegation aims to transfer Algerian expertise in electricity production and energy engineering. In this context, an extensive technical meeting was held with officials from the Mozambican energy sector to discuss avenues for cooperation, exchange experiences, and examine the technical and regulatory aspects related to the sector.
The visit program included an inspection of the port of Maputo to review the logistical aspects related to technical operations, in addition to visiting a power plant completed in 2018. This allowed for an exchange of technical insights and observation of field experiences in the operation of energy facilities.
This visit embodies the pivotal role of the Sonelgaz Group in implementing the national energy policy to access foreign markets and strengthen Algeria's position as a reliable African energy partner, contributing to the support of energy security and sustainable development on the continent.
