Commissioned by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, is conducting a working and inspection visit to the wilaya of Oran today, Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He will oversee the ceremonies commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA) and the 55th anniversary of the nationalization of hydrocarbons.
The Prime Minister is accompanied during this visit by the Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mr. Mohamed Arkab; the Minister of Finance, Mr. Abdelkrim Bouzred; the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mr. Mourad Adjal; and the Minister of Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Mr. Abdelhak Saihi; alongside the Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA), Mr. Amar Takdjout.
The visit's program includes presiding over the ceremonies of the double anniversary, as well as inspecting projects related to the energy sector, within the framework of following up on the implementation of development programs and boosting investment dynamics.
This visit falls within the context of commemorating a prominent national milestone, reaffirming the role of the working class in the process of national development, and continuing the implementation of development programs across various economic sectors.
