Algerian jumper Yasser Mohamed Tahar Triki won the World Athletics "Indoor Tour Gold" series title in the indoor triple jump event following his brilliant performance at the Liévin International Athletics Meeting (France).
Triki's triumph came thanks to an impressive jump of 17.35 meters, the world's best performance of the season. This earned him the maximum score (10 points), despite his participation in only a single meeting. This stands as striking proof of his excellent preparation and his ability to shine during major events with minimal participation and optimal technical efficiency.
This new feat enriches the already well-stocked track record of the Algerian champion, who was a silver medalist at the 2024 World Indoor Championships in Glasgow, fifth at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, fourth at the 2025 World Championships, and fifth during the 2022 edition, in addition to his third-place finish at the 2025 Diamond League final.
With this new title, Triki sends a strong message to his rivals ahead of upcoming international competitions, confirming his place among the global triple jump elite and continuing to honor the national colors on the greatest international stages.
