The statement of the Ministry reported that the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr. Sofiane Chaib, oversaw today, Saturday, via videoconference, the opening of the meeting organized by the Embassy of Algeria in Berlin for the heads and representatives of Algerian associations active in the Federal Republic of Germany, in the presence of both the Ambassador of Algeria to Berlin and the Consul General of Algeria in Frankfurt.
In the speech he delivered on this occasion, the Secretary of State emphasized "the special care that the highest authorities of the country extend to members of the national community abroad, and their keenness to enhance communication and consultation mechanisms with them, as well as accompanying the various initiatives they launch in service of national interests," according to the same statement.
He also "praised the dynamism witnessed by the Algerian associational network in Germany, and its active contribution to strengthening the bonds of solidarity among community members and maintaining their connection to their motherland, in addition to its role in highlighting the positive image of Algeria and promoting its presence within the host country."
According to the statement, Mr. Chaib reviewed in this context "the efforts made to implement the recommendations emerging from the Consular Conference held in February 2026, particularly those related to encouraging and structuring associational work and supporting active associations with a tangible impact for the benefit of community members."
The Secretary of State also highlighted "the importance of the national community's contribution in Germany toward consolidating relations of friendship and cooperation between Algeria and Germany," stressing "the commitment to providing the necessary follow-up to the outcomes of this meeting, in coordination with the Embassy of Algeria in Berlin and the Consulate General in Frankfurt, so as to contribute to responding to the concerns of community members and capitalizing on their role as an essential partner in strengthening human, cultural, and economic ties between the two countries."
