The President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held a phone call with his brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar. The two leaders addressed the latest developments in the Middle East, according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic issued on Sunday.
The statement read: “The President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held a phone call this evening with his brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar. The two leaders addressed the latest developments in the Middle East, where the President expressed his full support for the mediation role of His Highness the Emir to halt the dangerous escalation in the region, wishing for a swift return of tranquility and peace”.
