Agreement Signed Between the National Anti-Drug Office and the National Institute of Public Health

An agreement was signed on Monday in Algiers between the National Office for the Fight Against Drugs and Drug Addiction (ONLCDT) and the National Institute of Public Health (INSP). The agreement aims to establish a robust scientific and technical partnership to combat the growing phenomenon of drugs and psychotropic substances, according to a statement released by the Office.

The same source detailed that the signing ceremony was jointly overseen by the Director General of the National Office for the Fight Against Drugs and Drug Addiction, Mr. Tarek Kour, and the Director General of the National Institute of Public Health, Mr. Abderrezak Bouamra.

Furthermore, four executive agreements were signed to launch specialized field studies. These studies aim to "develop an accurate national map detailing the geographical distribution of drug consumption and establish a permanent institutional framework for scientific and technical cooperation between the two parties." This initiative is designed to strongly support the implementation of the national strategy for the prevention of drugs and psychotropic substances, the statement concluded.
