On Sunday evening the President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, held a series of phone calls with his brothers, the leaders of several Arab countries. During these calls, they addressed the latest developments and updates regarding the military escalation currently taking place in the Middle East region.
The President of the Republic of Algeria held a phone call with his brother, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the call, the President enquired after his wellbeing and the health of His Majesty the King, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as the Saudi people, amidst the difficult circumstances the Middle East is currently facing. The President also expressed his hope for the return of peace and security in the “immediate future”.
The President also held a phone call with his brother, His Majesty Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The conversation addressed the current situation in the region and its impacts on the Jordanian people, with the President wishing for the “return of calm and peace to the Kingdom and the entire region”.
The President of the Republic of Algeria also held a phone call with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar. The two leaders addressed the latest developments in the Middle East, where the President expressed his full support for the mediation role of His Highness the Emir to halt the dangerous escalation currently witnessed in the region, wishing for a “swift return of tranquility and peace”.
The President also held a phone call with His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait. The two leaders addressed the grave security deterioration currently taking place in the Middle East.
The President expressed to his brother, the Emir of the brotherly State of Kuwait, his “support for the instilling of urgent peace and security in a way that safeguards the interests and safety of the brotherly Kuwaiti people”.
