The Ministry of Culture and Arts announced the opening of applications for grants supporting artistic and literary projects, as part of the public funding program for arts and literature for the year 2026. This announcement was made in a statement released by the Ministry this Wednesday.
The same source explained that state subsidies for institutions, associations, cooperatives, and publishing houses are directed toward artistic and literary projects in the fields of literature (books), theater, music, visual arts, and artistic events.
Under the theme of “Promoting Artistic Creativity,” subsidies will be allocated for the writing, production, and distribution of theatrical plays, as well as artistic and choreographic performances. This also includes the recording of musical and vocal works, the creation of original models in visual arts, and the organization of workshops and artistic residencies across all art forms. Additionally, the funding covers the promotion of artistic and cultural events and the organization of art exhibitions, according to the same source.
Regarding the promotion of literary creativity, these subsidies will also benefit projects involving the writing of novels, short stories, poetry, theatrical scripts, children's literature, comics (graphic novels), and studies in arts and literature. Furthermore, the grants cover the translation of literary works and research papers in the fields of arts and letters.
Applications for arts and literature grants must be submitted exclusively through the Ministry's digital platform. The deadline has been set for 60 days, starting from today, March 4.
Regarding applicants who have previously benefited from this grant but failed to complete or deliver their projects to the Ministry of Culture and Arts, the Ministry emphasized that they are ineligible to receive state support for arts and literature again.
A specialized committee for arts and literature grants will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating the artistic projects, and selecting the works eligible to receive public funding.
