The National Commission for Crescent Observation and Religious Timetables at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, which met today evening at Dar Al-Imam (Algiers), announced that the Eid Al-Fitr holiday will be celebrated on Friday in Algeria following the observation of the lunar crescent marking the beginning of the month of Shawwal 1447 AH.
The National Commission for Crescent Observation and Religious Timetables, which has branches in all the wilayas of the country, is composed of ulamas and experts from the Center of Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Geophysics.
