Ivorian Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Energy on a Working Visit to Algeria on Saturday

The Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Energy of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, and current President of the Council of Ministers of the African Petroleum Producers' Organization (APPO), Mr. Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly, will begin a working visit to Algeria starting Saturday. The visit, which will run until March 31, comes at the invitation of the Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mr. Mohamed Arkab, according to a ministry statement.

The Ivorian minister will undertake this visit leading a large delegation composed of executives from the mining, petroleum, and energy sectors. The trip falls within the framework of continuing previous consultations and exchanges between the two countries, as well as exploring ways to strengthen and develop bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of hydrocarbons and mining, the statement specified.

This visit is also part of "efforts aimed at consolidating African partnerships and promoting South-South cooperation, particularly in strategic sectors that have a direct impact on socio-economic development," the same source added.

Furthermore, the Ivorian minister will participate in the proceedings of the 8th Symposium of the Algerian Gas Industry Association (AIG), scheduled for March 30 and 31 in Oran, the press release concluded.
