WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that 51 health workers have been martyred as a result of the Zionist aggression on Lebanon during the ongoing month of March.

Ghebreyesus stated in a social media post that the number of health workers martyred during the Zionist raids on Lebanon this month has reached 51.

He pointed out that this current month of March has become the second deadliest month since October 2023.

The WHO Director-General emphasized that attacks on medical facilities are seriously hindering the delivery of medical services in South Lebanon, noting that 4 hospitals and 51 primary healthcare centers have been closed.

It is worth noting that two Lebanese paramedics were martyred and others were injured yesterday, Sunday, following a strike by Zionist occupation warplanes on the vicinity of the Bint Jbeil Hospital in South Lebanon.

This comes amid the ongoing targeting of paramedics, as several were martyred on Saturday as several were martyred yesterday in occupation shelling on the Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and Kfar Tebnit roads.
