Algeria and Italy welcomed, this Wednesday, the ceasefire agreement in the Middle East region.
This came during a telephone conversation received by the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community, and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, from his Italian counterpart, Mr. Antonio Tajani.
Attaf's talks with the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation covered developments in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf.
The two parties reaffirmed their welcome of the agreement reached by the concerned parties to cease military operations.
They emphasized the necessity of building on the agreement to achieve lasting security and sustainable stability in the region.
Both parties expressed their deep concern over the Zionist entity's aggressions against Lebanon.
They emphasized the importance of mobilizing the efforts of the international community to put an end to them, in a way that preserves Lebanon's sovereignty and stability. And in a manner that safeguards the entire region from the risks of returning to military escalation.
