Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced this Tuesday that her government would "suspend the automatic renewal" of the defense agreement between Italy and the Zionist entity.
"Given the current situation, the government has decided to suspend the automatic renewal of the defense agreement" with the Zionist entity, Giorgia Meloni stated on the sidelines of a trip to Verona (north), according to remarks reported by Italian news agencies ANSA and AGI.
Ratified in 2006 and tacitly renewed every five years, the defense agreement was set to expire this week.
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani also condemned on Monday the "unacceptable attacks" by the Zionist entity against civilians in Lebanon during a visit to Beirut.
