JEDDAH (Saudi Arabia) - The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the decisions of the Belgian and Dutch governments to ban the import of products originating from illegal Zionist settlements established in Palestinian territories, including occupied Al-Quds.
In a statement published on Wednesday, the OIC maintained that these two decisions "constitute a justified legal and political step, reflecting the principles of international justice and aligning with international law, the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and international legitimacy resolutions, particularly Security Council Resolution 2334, which affirms the illegality of colonization and calls for an immediate and complete halt to all settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Al-Quds."
The OIC General Secretariat also renewed its call to all states and the international community to follow the example of these two countries and adopt all necessary practical and legislative measures to ban any economic, financial, and service activities linked to the Zionist occupation authorities and their settlement system in the occupied Palestinian territories.
