Algerian Radio was honored with the award for Best Radio Investigative Report on Artificial Intelligence at the Media Awards 2026. The competition was organized by the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) on the sidelines of its General Assembly held in the Gambian capital, Banjul, on Friday evening, April 17, 2026.

The award was secured thanks to the radio documentary titled: "When AI Breathes New Life into African Heritage".

In an innovative professional style, this work explored the role of modern technologies in preserving and promoting African cultural heritage, contributing to its revival through contemporary digital media.

This investigative report was produced by the journalist Abderrezak Dendani from the Bordj Bou Arreridj radio station. It clearly reflects the high caliber of media talent within Algerian Radio and its ability to keep pace with technological transformations while addressing contemporary issues with a renewed media vision.
