A Palestinian youth was martyred by Zionist occupation fire yesterday evening, Saturday, northwest of the city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian News & Information Agency (WAFA), quoting medical sources, reported the martyrdom of the youth, Yousef Hassan, by gunfire from occupation vehicles stationed northwest of the city of Rafah. He was subsequently transported to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis.
Earlier, a young girl was wounded by occupation fire in the Mawasi region of Rafah. Furthermore, medical sources announced the martyrdom of 25-year-old Ahmed Hani Obeid, succumbing to injuries sustained during an occupation bombardment of the northern Gaza Strip approximately one year ago.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll from the Zionist occupation's aggression has risen to 72,549 martyrs and 172,274 injured since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023.
It was noted that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 773, with injuries reaching 2,171. Meanwhile, 761 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble.
Sources indicated that a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them up to this moment.
