Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, held talks today, Tuesday, in Algiers with his Chadian counterpart, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Chadians Abroad, Mr. Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul, prior to co-chairing the proceedings of the 4th session of the Algerian-Chadian Joint Intergovernmental Commission, according to a ministry statement.
According to the statement, “the two ministers reviewed the various dimensions of the fraternal and cooperative relations between Algeria and the Republic of Chad, as well as the prospects for further elevating them to the highest possible levels, in line with the high directives of the leaders of the two countries, the President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and the President of the Republic of Chad, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.”
According to the same statement, “the two parties also engaged in consultation and coordination on several matters of common interest, primarily the current situation in their immediate neighborhood in the Sahel-Saharan region, developments in the Middle East, and the latest updates on the Palestinian cause.”
