President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has highlighted the significant progress of the Integrated Phosphate Project in the east of the country, announcing that the phosphoric acid production plant within this major initiative is slated for launch in late 2026 or early 2027.
Speaking during his periodic media interview with representatives of the national press, broadcast Saturday evening on national television and radio channels, the President stated: "Work is actively progressing on the Integrated Phosphate Project at Bled El Hadba. The phosphoric acid plant will be launched by the end of 2026 or the beginning of 2027 as part of a fully integrated project to exploit phosphate throughout all its processing stages."
The President underscored the profound economic impact of this structural project, particularly its potential to create tens of thousands of jobs. He further noted that Algeria possesses "countless" other mines destined for future exploitation, a reality that necessitated the "establishment of a specialized ministry staffed by experts and specialists to manage these vital resources."
Furthermore, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune emphasized that mining initiatives and the expansion of railway lines toward the South are part of a coherent "national vision." He pointed out that these strategic projects "are not a matter of chance," but were central commitments made during his presidential campaign.
