The Senior Algerian Karate-Do Championship (Men and Women) will take place from July 9 to 11 at the Harcha-Hacène Arena in Algiers, the Algerian Karate-Do Federation (AKF) announced, specifying that the mandatory weigh-in for qualified athletes is scheduled for Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
In a statement published on social media, the AKF stressed that the weigh-in is mandatory for all qualified athletes, with a maximum weight tolerance of 200 grams for men and 500 grams for women.
The AKF also indicated that any athlete who fails to register for the weigh-in on the scheduled date and time will be automatically disqualified from the competition and marked as absent.
Regarding the participation of junior category athletes in the senior division, the Federation announced that each club is authorized to enter only one team in Kata and one single athlete in Kumite. The complete entry registration file must be submitted after approval from the National Technical Director before the start of the competition.
Finally, the Algerian Karate-Do Federation insisted that any incomplete files or those failing to provide the required documents will be rejected, calling on clubs and athletes to respect the guidelines and deadlines to ensure the championship runs under the best organizational conditions.
