The President of the Republic of Algeria, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, emphasized that the convening of the 3rd International Forum on the Role of Constitutional Oversight in Protecting Rights and Liberties represents a renewal of the pledge made by the State to the Algerian people to build a State of Truth and Law, founded on the sovereignty of the Constitution and the supremacy of its provisions.

These remarks were delivered in a speech addressed to the forum participants, read on his behalf by the President of the Constitutional Court, Mrs. Leila Aslaoui. He explained that this international legal gathering has become an annual tradition, reflecting the vitality of constitutional justice in Algeria and its openness to scientific expertise, as well as its endeavor to enhance scientific communication and consolidate the foundations of constitutional justice.

The President of the Republic of Algeria indicated that the protection of fundamental rights and the promotion of liberties represent a firm doctrine in the work of all State institutions, emphasizing that this commitment draws its spirit from the Declaration of November 1, 1954, which he described as the fundamental moral reference for building the New Algeria and embodying the true meaning of citizenship.
