Algerian-Turkish Business Forum: Signing of Several Significant Economic Agreements in Ankara

Several significant economic agreements were signed this Thursday in the Turkish capital, Ankara, during the Algerian-Turkish Business Forum.

Participants in the forum, which was attended by officials, economic operators, and investment representatives from both countries, emphasized a "strong will to elevate bilateral economic relations to the level of an integrated strategic partnership." The forum was co-chaired by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Mr.Kamel Rezig, and the Turkish Minister of Trade, Mr Omer Bolat.

In this context, Mr Rezig and his Turkish counterpart stressed the "importance of reaching the target of increasing trade exchanges to $10 billion."

The two ministers also highlighted the "need to expand investments and prepare for the signing of a preferential trade agreement between the two countries," in addition to "developing cooperation in promising sectors such as renewable energy, banking, agriculture, and infrastructure."

The forum is held as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic, Mr Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to Türkiye, where he will co-chair, alongside his brother, Turkish President Mr Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the proceedings of the first session of the Algerian-Turkish High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
