The Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Mrs. Houria Meddahi, received yesterday morning a high-level official delegation from the Republic of Chad, according to a statement from the Ministry.
The statement explained that the delegation is headed by the Minister of Tourism Development, Culture, and Handicrafts, Mr. Abakar Rozzi Teguil, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Chad to Algeria, Mr. Moukhtar Wawa Dahab, accompanied by a number of senior officials and representatives of bodies and institutions active in the fields of tourism, culture, handicrafts, and media.
This reception comes within the framework of the Republic of Chad's participation as a guest of honor in the activities of the International Tourism and Travel Fair (SITEV-2026), reflecting the depth of the fraternal and cooperative relations between the two countries, and embodying the mutual will to strengthen partnership and exchange expertise in the fields of tourism development and the promotion of handicrafts.
This meeting also served as an opportunity to discuss ways to expand the horizons of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of tourism promotion, training, and the valuation of handicraft heritage, thereby contributing to the support of sustainable tourism development and opening new avenues for integration between the two countries.
