The Minister of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, President of the Algerian Pilgrims Affairs Office, Mr. Youcef Belmehdi, held talks on Wednesday in Jeddah with the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Mr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, a ministry press release indicated.
This meeting, held on the sidelines of the proceedings of the 50th edition of the Grand Hajj Symposium in Jeddah, provided an opportunity to "praise the level of coordination between the Algerian and Saudi parties in organizing pilgrims' affairs" and to "review the efforts made to enable pilgrims to perform the Hajj rituals under the best conditions of organization and care," the same source specified.
This meeting took place in the presence of the Algerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Cherif Oualid; the Consul General of Algeria in Jeddah, Mr. Mohamed El Habib Zahana; and the Director General of the National Office of Hajj and Umrah and Director of the Algerian Pilgrims Affairs Office, Mr. Tahar Braik.
