The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned, this Sunday, in the strongest terms, the heinous crime committed by the Zionist occupation forces yesterday evening. The attack targeted tents sheltering displaced persons near the Rimal Preparatory Boys' School in the Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of 6 Palestinians and the injury of at least 15 others, mostly children.

In a statement carried by the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), the Ministry emphasized that targeting shelters for displaced persons—which house children, women, and families who have lost their homes—falls under the ongoing crime of genocide against the Palestinian people. It added that this reflects a blatant disregard for the rules of international humanitarian law and the obligations incumbent upon the occupying power, while further deepening the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the Zionist occupation fully and directly responsible for this crime and all other crimes committed against the Palestinian people, emphasizing that continued impunity encourages the repetition and escalation of massacres against Palestinian civilians, and undermines any chances for a just peace and justice.

The Ministry also renewed its call to the international community to take urgent action to immediately halt all violations, practices, policies, and systematic crimes committed against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. It further demanded ensuring the sustainable and unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid, the delivery of essential supplies including shelter, medical care, and relief, leading to a comprehensive cessation of the aggression, a full Zionist withdrawal, recovery and reconstruction, securing international protection for the Palestinian people, and the realization of their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
