2026 World Cup: "The Greens" Arrive in San Jose Ahead of Their Match Against Jordan

The Algerian national football team has arrived in San Francisco, California, traveling from Lawrence, Kansas, as part of their preparations for their second match of the 2026 World Cup against Jordan. The match will take place at PayPal Park this Tuesday starting at 04:00 AM (Algeria time), the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced on its official website on Sunday.

The delegation of "The Greens," led by the President of the Algerian Football Federation, Walid Sadi, touched down at San Jose International Airport at 03:00 AM (Algeria time). Prior to their departure, the squad held their final training session in Lawrence, which hosted the team's first training camp of the tournament.

Coach Vladimir Petkovic’s men will face Jordan in a crucial encounter, through which the national team seeks to boost its chances in the race for qualification.

The national team is scheduled to hold its final training session today, Sunday, on the match pitch at 17:00 local time, to put the finishing tactical touches ahead of the highly anticipated clash.
