The newspapers published today, Saturday, in the east of the country highlighted the confirmation made by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in the context of last Thursday's legislative elections, that "the quota era and interference in the will of voters are completely over, which guarantees the integrity and credibility of the legislative institution in the New Algeria."
In this regard, An-Nasr newspaper dedicated a large space to the developments of this important national event, covering in detail the statements of the President of the Republic on the occasion of these elections, to the effect that "electoral milestones are now being held within a strict legal framework that guarantees full transparency and respects the choice of citizens with total democracy."
The same daily added that this competitive milestone "lays the foundation for a new era that strengthens national cohesion and opens the doors wide for youth and university degree holders to actively contribute to decision-making and consolidate participatory democracy."
In the same context, Akhbar El Chark newspaper highlighted the President of the Republic's statements on its page dedicated to the legislative elections, noting that "this electoral event took place under good conditions that inspire optimism, far from any infringement on the people's will."
Meanwhile, Ain El Djazair newspaper reported "the President of the Republic's praise for the role played by the National Independent Authority for Elections, which oversees all stages of the electoral process until the announcement of the results."
The newspaper also highlighted the official figures released by the National Independent Authority for Elections, announcing that the preliminary turnout rate for the legislative elections reached 20.79% within the country, while the turnout rate for the national community abroad reached 10.67%.
The same daily also kept pace with the voting atmosphere in the east of the country, which took place under tight procedures and strict discipline across various polling stations.
For their part, the newspapers Sarih, L'Est Républicain, and Akhersaa wrote about the international press coverage of the electoral milestone, as the event garnered widespread external media interest that focused on the organizational atmosphere and the recorded turnout rates.
