On Thursday, the "Apostille" electronic platform, designed to abolish the traditional legalization requirement for foreign public documents was officially launched. The platform is now accessible via the National Portal of Government Digital Services, according to a statement released by the High Commission for Digitization.

This measure falls within the framework of "implementing the State's supreme directives aimed at accelerating digital transformation and modernizing public services." It is also "in alignment with the principle of institutional integration among various sectors."

The statement indicated that the High Commission for Digitization designed and developed the platform to meet the needs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs. The Ministry will oversee the provision and management of this service, in collaboration with the sectors involved in its initial phase.

This achievement embodies "a model of institutional cooperation among the Ministries of Interior, Local Collectivities and Transport; Justice; Finance; Higher Education and Scientific Research; National Education; Vocational Training and Education; Post and Telecommunications, as well as the services of the Bank of Algeria."

According to the same source, this collaboration allows for "elevating the quality of public services by facilitating the authentication procedures for public documents intended for use abroad." Furthermore, it "consolidates a modern digital administration that meets citizens' expectations, enhances the efficiency of public services, and keeps pace with international standards."
