President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, begins a two-day official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany this Wednesday, following an invitation from his friend, His Excellency the German President, Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, according to a statement from the Presidency.
This visit aims to strengthen the historical ties of friendship and partnership between the two countries and reflects the shared will of the two leaders to provide new momentum to bilateral cooperation and expand it toward broader horizons.
During the visit, the President will hold talks with his German counterpart and Chancellor Friedrich Merz, focusing on strengthening historical links between Algeria and Germany and exploring ways to promote bilateral cooperation in various fields of mutual interest by revitalizing cooperation mechanisms and elevating them to wider strategic horizons.
The visit will also include a meeting between the President and members of the national community residing in Germany to listen to their concerns and aspirations.
On the sidelines of the visit, an Algerian-German Economic Forum will be held, attended by senior officials and featuring the participation of businessmen and investors from both countries. The forum’s proceedings are expected to culminate in the announcement of a strategic partnership between the two nations and the signing of more than thirty agreements in various fields, notably hydrocarbons, renewable energy and energy transition, the pharmaceutical industry, manufacturing, and advanced technology.
